NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!

Greetings and Salutations my Fellow South Dakotans!

As a resident of the State of South Dakota, this topic is of great importance to me and it should be to you too! If you have ever stood before a Judge and said, "your honor, I didn't know that I was violating any law!" and the Judge says, "ignorance of the law is no excuse!" then you know what I am talking about.  If not, then your in for a real awakening when it's your turn.

As your Governor, I will make it my mission to see to it that no one is ever above the law. This means every State resident will be held accountable for anything they do that harms any other resident, whether financially or personally injured. Regardless of their status or position in society.

The first thing I want to do is make the State's Attorney General an appointed official by the Governor, and no longer an elected official. I personally requested the State Attorney's office to investigate the conduct of a corporation organized here in South Dakota. The State's Attorney told me, "as long as the company does not harm the State of South Dakota directly, I don't care what they do!" Well, let me say this about that! An elected official will never bite the hand that feeds him or her.  However, an appointed official has no allegiance to any person, place or thing! Who do you think would be more inclined to take action, an elected official or an appointed official?  If you said an appointed official, your correct! South Dakota has a pro business legislature, and therefore, is by it's very nature, is anti-resident!  All they want is your vote!

In 2009, I started a job to attempt to earn more money. I notified medicare and the SSA that I was going back to work and that I wanted my part B medicare canceled, as well as my part D (i.e. prescription drug) coverage too!  I had not used the part D coverage at all.  Medicare continued to charge me for the next ten months and then canceled for non-payment.  You see, I was no longer drawing SSDI; therefore I was not eligible for part B coverage.

To make a long story short, in 2011 I had to go back on SSDI due to another injury. It was then that I discovered that SSA and medicare had not stopped my part B & D coverage.  SSA recouped the $104 premium for ten months, and the part D provider received a windfall of almost $800, but never paid out a red cent for my prescription drugs whatsoever! I reported this to medicare and got no action.  I then contacted our State Senators, and Congressional Representatives.  Before the election, they all were gungho! Every radio and news station was running ads about medicare fraud; if you know someone committing medicare fraud you need to report it. Well I reported it!  However, after the election, I could not get them to even return my telephone calls.

An appointed official answers to the Governor.  And as your next Governor, I swear to you that no one will be above the law. If someone under my watch screws up, they will be held accountable and that includes me too! I do not profess to be perfect, but I do promise to uphold the laws to their letter!

Everywhere we look, we see instances where elites are shielded from prosecution because of who they are, or who they know. If you and I are held accountable, then so should they!  This includes everyone, not just those of us that work hard and pay taxes. It's not just the uneducated! Everywhere you go people with educated back grounds say, "if we are held accountable, then who would want to do the job?"  I say, "you shouldn't be doing the job, if you are that negligent in the first place!" No one is above the law! How can we ask the general public to obey the law, when the people in charge break or bend the laws and get away with it! No, it's simply not right.

As your next Governor, I will hold everyones' Constitutional Rights sacred.  Anyone violating these rights, is violating the very premise they stand for and that conduct can no longer be tolerated! No one is above the law, and that's the way it should be.  If you agree with my opinions then let me know! Better yet, let your state representative know!  Click Here!
